Chapter 1: A Prophecy is Born
As the sun rose above the trees birds started to sing their morning tunes, filling the forest with joy. The mice and squirrels started to depart from their dens. Specks of snow and puddles scattered the forest. Leaf-bare had finally decided to release it's icy grip upon the forest and let newleaf flourish to heal the greenery.
In a large clearing that was scattered with bushes, nests and rocks, a weak wail echoed around the forest. In a small den a she-cat was writhing around in pain, other cats were crowding around her. One cat nudged a mixture of herbs towards the writhing queen speaking to her softly. The two other cats, both toms, were wide-eyed with worry.
